that aint right. the shit that people do to their "best friends" needs to stop. in my eyes this is just as bad if not worse than drug trafficking. they need to found and delt with by death or long term sentencing

I gotta chime in here and say, while that video is a wake-up call to many people, don't you know that kind of torture happens on a daily basis to millions and millions of other animals?

Just because animals other than dogs and cats are born and raised with one intention - to be taken to the slaughter house, doesn't make it justified.

Take a moment and send me a PM if you really want to know what you're eating.

Without getting into a big politically-charged debate, I'm going to go ahead and say that the video was very depressing.

However, PETA has earned no respect from me. They are an evil, hypocritical organization that loves to preach their holier-than-thou attitude when they have no right to. How can you be for animal rights and against the needless slaughter of animals when you put more to sleep than you save, year after year? How can you be against testing medicine on animals when your own vice-president is insulin dependent and claims it's ok in her case because she "has important work to do" (insulin was not only tested on animals, but until recently WAS a by-product of animals). Plus they support the ALF which promotes violence in it's attempt to "free the animals".

Scott, good points re: PETA. I do not condone the actions and hypocrisy of any massively-organized NPO such as them. However, I don't think ALF supports "violence", per-se. Rather, I think their 'modus operandi' is just an extreme definition of proactive approach.

In my opinion, it's good to let everyone know that it's not just cats and dogs taking this type of abuse. It's "farm animals" taking this kind of abuse, one-hundred-fold, and a million times more frequently.

Good point. I don't condone animal cruelty, and it kills me to see what some creatures go through. I just think people need to take a more grassroots approach to making a difference than hopping on the massive organization bandwagon. PETA, ALF, Greenpeace, ELF, and other such organizations are doing more to harm their fellow man than create a more peaceful world for man and beast alike.

Once I get a more stable schedule with work and school, I fully plan to adopt at least 1 dog from a kill shelter. It's not much, but it keeps one critter from being put down when it doesn't need to be.

Very true but, these dogs are used to bring as$*oles preasure. The slaughter house is needed in human society.. At least is used for a good cost(human's feeding) Its a part of the food chain. Vs Dogs fighting, it isnt necessary!
