My trip started on 10/3 with the drive up to Little Switzerland NC. Here is a pic of the cabin complete with a carport for the S. It was less than 1 mile from the parkway.
Here are some sunrise pics from the cabin.
Various overlook pics.

Favorite sign pic.
Awesome homestead pic near Hot Springs
Had a really good time, not 1 problem with the car after 3000+ miles (except for the blown AC comp after Cherohala monsoon run). It didn't use a drop of oil and the gas mileage was fair . The Dragon Jr was less than 1 mile away (226A) not to mention the Parkway and just about every road off of it. I would have to say the last 2 weeks were the most fun I have ever had in my life!!!

I also just finished a 3000 mile trip up to the mountains. It was a blast. I used 1 quart of oil, 1/3 of a quart at a time, and only when I spent long periods of time above 6000 rpm. On the highway, I used no oil at 75 mph plus and got over 30 miles per gallon dependably. I was a little surprised to see the mileage was so good at high speed.

Yea I had a blast. I got there fri 10/3 about 2:30 pm and came back fri 10/10. Had good weather up till wed of last week then the fog & rain set in for a day an half, cleared up fri morning just in time to leave.
The first 1 1/2 days the car ran only 2 bars on the temp gauge, (pretty cool out). I saw a Bobcat in the yard stalking a rabbit, that cat was BIG!! Wanted to go to the Dragon again but found so many good roads around the cabin thought it would be a waste of time. Spent the last couple years camping 1 week in Oct & hiking - not anymore - it will be cabin & cruising from now on...
