Things I'd rather do than replace the top in my S again:

- Cutoff a toe
- Cutoff a finger
- Gargle razorblades
- Point laser in my eyes
- Play keep away with an alligator
- Juggle with armed grenades
- Pour salt in open wounds
- Kill myself

I think you get the idea.

 

the downside of insurance... it's called deductable's... even at WG's suggested 900 which is a great price.. that's gonna be cash outta pocket... along long time ago in a galaxy far far away.. i was a mechanic.. the force is still strong in me...

 

Your viewing area is framed by the center console and the roll hoops... A bigger window does not matter if there is stuff in the way of line-of-sight between the window edges and the rearview.

I would have gone glass, if I had known it was available when I changed my top 4+ years back... Definitely going with it this time around. Plus, you can tint glass MUCH more effectively.

The Robbins top comes with the frame elastic retainers too (everything needed to convert your existing frame)... They were $600ish during a group buy a year or two ago (installation is the bulk of the cost of replacing the top... mine took about 8 hours in a local upholstery shop. I imagine it could be done quicker if the shop has done them before).

no cash outta pocket... hit me up john i talked to you before about replacing it.. order it from tops online its around 500$ and i will do the install.. you will be under 900$ replaced in 2-3 hrs...
