The one that I heard of wasn't supposed to either, because there is an override mechanism or something that the installer has to do. This particular car didn't have that done. Just have to make sure that it is done correctly.

Sounds like a good way to get rid of my car.

The remote start is cool especially when you can let the car cool down after (like a turbo timer) but the most important feature of the ultra start is the 2 way paging system with a 1/4 mile range. This will alert you whenever the car is tampered with. There are endless options if you have any questions give me a call. 954-978-3177.

Well...one obvious downside to remote start is that you have to leave it in Neutral. That would bother me a little bit not having the car in gear when parked.

My bro recently got the Compustar alarm with pager, window module, and remote start. Very pricey for a fancy pager, but I like! http://www.compustar.org/products/2WSS.html

the ultra start is very much like the compustar but the ultrastart has a cooler remote.

The Compustar Spread Spectrum has a 2 way paging system with a range of just over a mile..I've tested it before.

I can't seem to find any info on this ultra start though. Anyone gotta link or pics?
