I've lived on both sides of the bay and there are cool people to be found in both places. But I am sure we have scared off a new potential resident by now anyways- oh well. Cant we all just get along???
Tidal- Palm Harbor is basically between Clearwater and Tarpon Springs. Major roads would be 19 and McMullen Booth. You have been there...

Wow...Thanks for all the info! We have decided to take a trip down in March and check out the area. I have to sell my business, personal residence, and a couple of investment properties so it may take us a year or so before we are ready to actually make the move. My wife will be getting a job somewhere down there...I will eventually be looking for another business oportunity after some much needed R&R :-) I am looking forward to meeting/driving with some of you when I do end up down there...sound like a fun place to live!
Thanks,
Bob

Let us know when you are in the area. We only pick fights with each other for the fun of it. Any place in Florida is a good place to live! We are all good friends and just know each other too well. If you can get past us all being freaks, you will fit in fine!
Good luck with the move and all. If we can do anything to help you out, feel free to give a shout.

Really only some of us are freaks, but we all get along anyway. And it's OK to pick on Tidal, everyone does. There certainly is a large group of our TBAS2K group now East of Tampa. I think they were asked to move out there because of the wild parties.
You will generally get more house for your money in the Brandon area, but - Real Estate 101 taught us all - location, location, location. You usually get what you pay for, and resale values follow.
March is one of the best times of the year down here. If you come down then, you may not want to return. Hope we all can hook up when you do come down .
Tidal - let's not scare them off with a pool party yet.

One more thing about Tampa, and Florida in general. You are going to have to search high and low for some nice roads to drive on. Not many hills or curves around.
Oh, and the local music scene sucks, nothing but bluegrass. jk
