Smile Stolen seats

Guys,

I haven't posted here for a while.. but this is important enough... I recently got my top slashed and my seats stolen!

I just wanted to give the heads up for all you in the bay area. My orginal post about this is in the S2000 general interest forum area. Look for a topic called "stolen seats".

I saw a Civic a while back at the Sunshine speedway with S2000 seats. Who knows if they were legit or not? Honda should put a VIN on them.

Yeah, they are paying for it, but they don't want to pay for brand new seats, they just want to pay 50% the cost, since the car is 4 years old.. I see their point, but at the same time I am calling .

If you got in an accident, would they want to replace your bumper or quarter panel for half the cost since the car was four years old? They should pay full replacement cost.

I already used that example with the insurance company... I mentioned to them as an example.. "what, if I was in an accident would you repair the paint to a quality of that of a 4 year old car, nothing more, nothing less???

I got pretty hot with them on the phone...

We've all experienced this... you pay for years, and never have anything happen, and then the minute it's time for them to pay out, they don't want to do it!

Hopefully they are not screwing you on your top. Since the other got slashed they are not saying they will only pay half on that.
You can take this to small claims court. Not being from here I know this has had to be done in CA do get the message acrossed.
Hopefully you look at getting insured by another company when this claim gets finished. Either way if it is done 100% or 50%, you should not have to go through this BS And I say this twice for good reason.
