hey does anyone have a spoon engine torque damper installed or had one installed?
i wanted to know if it actually does these things:
Greatly improved off-the line acceleration.
Reduced wheel hop.
Improved vehicle stability.
Reduced shock loads on driveline components.
Smoother shifting.
Reduced wear on exhaust system joints.
Less transmission vibration to the driver compared to polyurethane dampers.
thanks

I have one that isn't installed yet. I have the puddymod bracket for the car side, but with the Vortech, I haven't figured out how to attach it to the motor.
got any ideas?
got any ideas?
Here's the problem with S/C cars, at least on the Comptech. There isn't that "perfect spot" since the sandwich plate takes up that whole area. I really don't think it's designed to be used as a mounting point for the stresses of a torque damper either. Am I missing something?

I believe the mounting hole is to be used for removing the motor... So, yes, it is designed to hold load. Its also a decent sized bolt too...
I have one installed on my turbo s2000... I used the Spoon strut mount, and just zip-tied that end of the fuse box to the damper...

My engine would vibrate so much from my itbs that after an hour driving, my hands would be sore as if I was mowing my lawn with a push lawnmower. I got the spoon etd and it made it sooo much better.

I can take all the measurements and pictures you need, but it's a bit of a drive for me up to you Ben. Maybe the next big event mid-state!
I would definitely buy one if you made it though.
