Spirited Group up to the mouth of the DRAGON
I've asked around and so far it seems that a number of people from Central Florida are down with leaving Wednesday evening. We would get north of Atlanta late that night and crash in a hotel. This way we would all be rested for the scenic route into the Dragon. We would hit all the fun and pretty roads during daylight hours and arrive mid afternoon for check in at Fontana Thursday.
The Spirited Group will be spending Wednesday night in Millegeville.

Dave and Bill Leave Central Florida after a lunch @ 11:00 Wednesday
Meets Chiung @ 12:15PM in Gainesville @ Oaks Mall.
Meets sftechguy @ Cordele @ 5:30PM
Get into Milledgeville @ 8:00PM
have dinner and get some sleep.
South Florida group meets the sleep seekers at the hotel in Milledgeville.
Wake up early Thursday, head towards Highlands NC. Start the DRIVE!
ROUTE
Travel north on I-75 through Florida all the way to Macon, GA. In Macon, get off the interstate and take Hwy 129 going north to Millegeville, spend the night there.
The south Florida group meets us @ the hotel. We wake up have a quick breakfast and then leave for Highlands NC. From there we have a handfull of great roads to choose from.
