Whoa you have an awesome camera. What brand is that? How expensive is it?

Just a Nikon D80. You can get the body itself for about $750-$800. The lens I used was the 70-200 F2.8 VR which costs more than the camera but was well worth it.

Equipment, timing, composition, settings and post processing and knowing what to do with it all factor in.

There is just so much to learn.

Jim, the 70-200 2.8 was the best purchase so far you should look into getting one of those. It has always been known to produce sharp images, great for sports. I picked mine up used at North Tampa Photography. They always have a lot of Cannon stuff on consignment there.

Agreed but I think a lens is the long pole in the tent. I've got the eye for it, just need to get better equipment. I can really tell the difference between the kit lens and the zoom I bought.
