So, as it turns out my wife is working for......
A freakin Scientologist! The stories I hear and research that friends have compiled is really creepy. These people are seriously ****ed and hellbent on mind control. It wasn't till I pointed it out to her that things started to make sense, but it seems like their trying to rope her in as well.
But seriously are they dangerous or just crazy? Anyone else had any experiances with them? Is this something she should get away from asap?

I was about 5 years old when I stopped believing in crazy make believe things like Santa, Religion and the Tooth Fairy.
There are whack jobs in all faiths. Depends on the person IMO. John Travolta is still cool in my book and he's a Scientologist. Tom Cruise.....not a fan anymore.

No worse than Christians, Jews, or Muslims in my opinion. It's just belief in a different kind of superstition.

It seems that a lot of people have not learned what Scientology is about. It is scary but only people that decide to go into it. While a person is being audited and cleared there is some hypnosis. Anyone here that has no idea what that last sentence means doesn't understand Scientology.
I don't think just working for one is any problem.
I believe most religions are good and provide the basis for morality but extremes in anything is usually not good. From religious to political the extreme is dangerous.

It's a shame but most of the killing and wars in history are based on religious or political clashes. Can't we all just get along? Variety is the spice of life. I don't even like eating the same thing for breakfast two days in a row.

if you take away Xenu, cleared thetan and the million year contract, Scientology actually has one of the best business planning and business management models ever produced.
They know how to run a business for sure....
Religion is simply a way to provide answers to questions that have no answers......at least answers that we can ever hope to wrap our puny little minds around anyway
