Do you think the FT86 is worth waiting for or do you think it's all hype? Would you wait for the first gen to come out or would you rather buy a used s2000?

Used S2000 hands down IMO. But you're also not comparing apples to apples. Convertible VS 2+2 Coupe. The engine is completely different apart from both being 2L as well. I am not a fan of buying new cars, that's my first reasoning, secondly I wont risk buying the first production model of a car because most times they need some sales to find real kinks. That is enough for me to wait for a used model.

I think I already answered that question when I bought the S 3 weeks ago. To be fair, the fr-s could take well to bolt on mods, or could come with a factory F/I option but that has yet to be seen. There is too little known about this car to actually say much about it.

I agree! Since I already own an S, this car definitely needs to impress in order for me to make the switch. I've been watching this car for at least a year maybe even two, ever since the first Toyota FT-86 concept. It's going to be exciting to see what the final product will be after its final version is revealed or very disappointing. The additional hope for this car will be the similar concept from Subaru and that's yet to be completely released yet.

Any change to the stable would be an addition, not a swap. Need to keep our eyes on this one.

I'm still waiting on the Subaru version of this car.
