Default S2000 maintenance

Hey,

A couple of days ago I decided to do some maintenance with my brother on my s2000. I changed the oil + filter, the differential fluid, transmission
fluid and the cabin air filter. Any other things i should do for routine maintenance for the car? After the differential fluid was changed I felt
a lot of difference in the shifting of the car.

Thanks for any ideas.

if you do the plugs, be sure to torque them properly, they Will back out if not torqued correctly and that will cause the cylinder wall t obe damaged. Clutch and Brake fluids like the others said.

Mileage would be helpful information, it has about 48,000 miles on it ..... my bro and I have been doing maintenance on the whole families cars. I am the 3rd owner of the car so i would rather go on the safe side cause i dont have the maintenance records so not sure how well the previous owners took care of it. The last
one was a lawyer and seemed like he was on top of it.

thanks for the help

at 48k the spark plugs are close to the ngk change interval make sure you replace them with NGK PFR7G-11S

you should also bleed the clutch fluid and brake fluid with some quality DOT3 fluids

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the advice. Looks like I should do a couple more things to the car and that should take care of it.
I also need to use shin-etzu grease and the lithium grease for the hinges.

thanks again

engine mounts go bad between 50 and 100K depending on driving style. the clutch master will leak permanently if the fluid gets too old. TCTs wear out fast. Sometimes coils go bad but not an S2K weakness. buy an ignition coil and keep it handy if you want to spend the money. The ac knobs on the dash crack. buy some replacements while they are still available.

Seriously? 50k seems low - is that on the extreme end (eg, a track-only car) or are people replacing at 50k for a street car too?
