the buy-in this year is 10K and they are expecting anywhere between 8-10K players.
I basically won about 13K worth of flights and hotel and buy-in for playing in this tournament
I have my work cut out for me but it is better than any lottery ticket you could ever buy for the odds at winning like 12 million dollars
PLUS I AM ON A FREE ROLL SO....... WOOO HAAA!!!!!

tourney was put on by orlandoholdem.net
If you are in the area and like poker, go to this site and start playing at the venues. the tourneys are all free and you have all live dealers - no DIY tables WOOT!
The players are good and the people that run it are top notch

yes the event will be edited into several shows on ESPN as well as the final table being sold as a PPV (12 hours or more worth). No real hopes of me getting airtime unless:
-I am in the background
-I catch a table with a well known pro
-take down a major big hand on a well known pro
-bust a pro out of the tourney
-make it past day 3 or 4 or in the money
if I make it down to the top 100 or 50 they will probably starting doing "color" footage of me in case I make the big money. Its all about your attitude too. they want colorful, unique people for the camera so I may have to ham it up a little.
If I do well, though, I want to rep my area well so I will have to just be myself and not cop some idiot attitude. I think I am odd enough by default to give the producers what they want.
