Just had my windshield replaced. As I was driving back from NC, a semi kicked up a rock...and BAM...right into my windshield. The crack went all the way through and the only thing holding it together was the film on the inside. (Note to self: Must go slower behind semis ) I'm sure glad it hit the windshield and not on the hood.
I may piece me together a new car yet!! New engine here...front bumper there...hood...tires...windshield...maybe clutch

Yikes! Glad you're OK Deb.
I've read on this board that the PPG replacement windshield is more resistant to chips than the OEM version. Do you know what kind was used as a replacement on your car?
See you at Atlanta!

I took a rock to the window about two weeks ago. The cracks only spread out about 1" from the center, I just have not gotten around to dealing with it yet.
So Deb, are you pleased with the quality of the installation and do you know if it is the PPG brand replacement?

And each time she adds NEW stuff like a front lip....pretty soon the car will have a supercharger, nitrous......then she would have PASSED that semi and thrown up a rock at IT.
