the whole virus thing it tough, I mean how can you kill something that you cannot prove is alive?

You actually don't kill it. The antivirals prevent the virus from entering a cell and replicating. If you can do that , it prevents the infection from getting worse. If you are already full blown infected, the anti-virals have little to no effect.

NOTE: I can't tell you how but I was jus informed that I am involved with an H1N1 emergency project at my company
