Panama City
Hey all!
I might be swinging by Panama City on Friday the 15th to do a training at one of the schools. Since I live way too far away to drive, what airports are within a reasonable distance if I fly in & have to drive to town? Seems like flying right into Panama City is going to cost a pretty penny & I'm not sure the school's going to want to spring for that. I don't mind driving a bit, but don't want to be stuck flying and then driving another 3+ hours.
Thanks!
~Kim~

Hi Kim,
The other area airports are in Pensacola, the Okaloosa Regional Airport on Eglin Air Force Base, and the Tallahassee Regional Airport.
If you check ticket prices, Tallahassee is the most likely to have cheaper flights, but I have not shopped fairs in quite a while.
Pensacola will be about 2.5 to 3 hours away, possibly more depending on the time of day. Okaloosa, I'm guessing would be about 1.5 hours away, or more again depending on traffic. Tallahassee would be 2.5 or so hours.
There are other small private airports around that do not support comercial flights if you have access to a small plane.
Good Luck

Panama City has an "international" (lol) airport that you can fly into, usually if you go through ATL or Memphis first. The next closest are Ft. Walton Beach (about 90 min from Panama City) or Pensacola (2-2.5 hours from Panama City) even Tallahassee is only 2-2.5 hours away, and I'm sure it will be much cheaper then flying into here.
