Painting S2000 Hardtop
Hi,
I have an OEM hardtop and need to paint it next week. I want to take off the seals and rubber parts to
paint it. Does anybody have any experience taking it apart without damaging it. The previous color was
yellow and need to paint it red, I am thinking that if I can take it apart I can do a better job painting
it. Thanks
Omar

They have a tape out there made by 3m that half of it is hard plastic. This allows you to slide the tape behind the rubber and peel it back enough to get paint behind it. I've done multiple hard tops this way. If you want it i can get you the part number for the tape

Hi,
Thanks for the picture. I used the helm's book to take apart most of the hardtop. I think the tape idea will be perfect for
the other part of the hardtop.
Thanks for all the feedback.
