I am going to get a Clifford 8000, or then maybe a Viper car alarm. Does anyone have an installer in the Orlando area they would recommend?
Sound Advice, (who I use for stereo installs), sells Viper. If I want a Clifford, which was bought by DEI then I need to use one of these stores around Orlando.

I am tempted to get a Viper instead as Clifford was bought out by DEI and Viper will likely be easier to find replacement parts and service around the country in the future...if I am to believe the manager/salesman at Sound Advice.

For what it's worth, I installed the clifford 8000. I think it is a far superior product to the viper. Clifford has been making high end alarms for many years. Yes DEI did purchase them, it gave DEI access to their engineering and technology. My alarm has never falsed. I did add smart windows, trunk pop and a shock sensor to the system. Additionally clifford is the only alarm I know of that can accodate remote start with a manual shift car safely. I haven't added that yet, but I know it will be safe when I do. As far as installers in your area go, I have been out of that business for many years and don't know who to recomend. Audio Excellence has been around for a long time. I installed my alarm myself if you have any questions. There is a plug near the remote radio control that makes the door lock/unlock very easy.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of Audio Excellence as my first choice here in Orlando for the Clifford. (I'm waiting for modifrys dci and then my Alpine 7913 goes in. Then the car alarm.)
