Default No longer JUST seat thieves

Just heard about this from a fellow S2ki'er. Some guy had a hardtop ... and the thieves stole the seats AND the hardtop!

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=819187

Get good alarms, park in well-lit and video surveillance areas, and in a garage if you can. I hope we don't see this start around here

they had been breaking into dealers stealing the hardtops off new C/Rs as well as the seats, wheels shift knobs etc... while the car was sitting inside the showroom overnight.

There is a hardtop lock I saw someone trying to get people intrested in on here someplace

Jeez...just read some of that stuff from the thread and some of the threads on H-I. Those guys are damn shady. Seemingly selling stolen property in the open.

It is amazing how brazen these guys are! I'm surprised they don't just take the whole car??

They're probably taking parts for two reasons ... they can afford tools and not a car-hauler. And moving a car is a bit more obvious without an enclosed trailer.

Sure would be nice to catch a few of these thieves
