Default New to Florida insurance question

Hey guys I just moved from the Dallas area to West Palm beach. I sold my ap2 the day I left but I plan on getting another one soon. While I was changing my insurance for my wife's car GMC terrain I noticed the insurance rates at crazy. I was paying 265 a month full coverage on the S and hers and now its on 312 for just her car! Lol

What are you guys paying? I imagine its going to be crazy if I add an S. I'm 25 married, college grad with good credit. Currently with GEICO.

I moved here from NY recently and was also shocked at the rates in South Florida. They are pretty bad down here due to bad driver, fraud and theft. I am paying the same thing I was up in NY with State Farm. I did pricing with a few others .. can't remember .. but they were the cheapest for me.

This is not the case for all of Florida though. Tampa for example where I had a car at one point was half with more coverage than up in NY.

In any case I would just shop around and get quotes and see what discounts you can get by combining policies. You can probably put the S as a second car or collectible car.

Welcome to FL!
