Default Need Help Putting on Springs

So I just bought the Eibach Pro-Kit from ebay for $244 shipped. But, I'm a poor grad student and need help putting them on. Any takers? I'm in Gainesville but I'm willing to travel somewhat.

I have never put on springs myself but I read that a spring compressor is needed. Like I said, I'm fairly poor so I'm looking for charity (we may be able to work out some compensation). Any shops around Gainesville, Ocala, Orlando, Jax willing to help me out? Anybody have a spring compressor and know how?

I swapped springs on my car twice (first from stock to skunk2, then back to stock) and I didn't use a spring compressor. Going from stock to eibach, it might not be necessary, although I had to get creative with a set of ratchet straps to get the tophats back on the stock springs.

I just ordered them today so they probably won't be in until next week at the soonest. So I may hit you up . But, if I can rent the compressor... I may be able to get someone more local to help me out, just to save the drive.

You dont need a spring compressor. Its a long process to type it out, which i just did and screwed up add reply so it disappeared. If you have all the tools it's not that hard a job. Do a search someone i am sure has posted the procedure if not let me know. I am in Daytona and have mornings free.

Thanks! I should have all the tools I need (and s2k shop manual). I'm at least somewhat mechanically inclined, I replaced my own top and it can't be worse than that

If you don't have a spring compressor just have a fat guy lean on the shocks to take the tension off while you undo the top nut.

You shouldn't even need to do that with the new springs. You should be able to get the top nuts on no problem.

to be on the safe side, just rent the tool from autozone and its free! (they charge you a deposit but you will get all that back once you take the tool back.) so do bring some money or a credit card.
