No rental coverage? Estimators write estimates based on what they see and what parts show available at the time they write the estimate. Once the car goes in for repairs they work out additional amounts with the shop (parts price differences etc..). If you are doing the work yourself you will need to work with them which can be a hassle.

I was going to say the same , drop it at the dealer have them do the dollar amount in repars the check is for and supplemental the insurance Co for the difference .
