I heard that the explanation from the Honda engineers about the 4-door civic getting the "type-r" and "mugen" treatment is because apparently they are better around the track due to the improved F/R weight balance compared to the coupe.
I can give them that, just not a fan of that car in 4 door. When I bought the 96 Accord, I liked the 4 door better.
Just my opinion.

The Civic has the advantage of not losing rear wheel traction being front wheel drive plus the front wheel drive having a shorter drivetrain so less power is lost through the drivetrain .

yup your right. We have ours in the showroom at crown honda. I also heard one of the local dealers had thiers marked up 15,000. Did you guys have any missing pieces, we're missing the badge in front of the shifter.
If its a Pinallas dealer Id say Gateway . If this is in Tampa then Brandon Honda would be the most likely to mark it up that much . They mark the Fits up $6000 over sticker . BTW Mugen badge by the shifter is on our car not MIA .

we're thinking someone from the shipping company stole it due to fingernail marks on the plastic where it should be located. But the factory is suppose to be shipping a new one. I was disappointed that they didn't have some sort of number plate.

I found out that it is Tampa Hondaland that has the Mugen marked up 14,995 over the MSRP
