Mugen Civic SI

VTEC del Sol's were 'rare' too ... and should have been extra special considering it had the B16A in it. Funny how I haven't seen one at Barrett-Jackson yet.
I know ... not an equal comparison for this 'Mugen' model ... but i think it's just another marketing scheme and a way to NOT have a real Type-R.

I think the mark up is BS too . When I worked at Tampa Hondaland they tried to charge me , keep in mind I was working there , $5000 over sticker for my Civic SI in 2000 . I ended up buying from Kuhn when it was Lindell .

Is this a Honda forum? With a Mugen edition Civic being bashed? Think how cool this will be in the future.. imagine if there were old school 1988 Mugen Edition CRX's that are super rare.
If this Civic's suspension is anything like the new JDM CTR, expect it to beat the pants off an S2000 around a track. Look on Youtube, the thing slaughters everything except the NSX-R, but is hot on its heels!

in a completely unbiased opinion. this car is not worth the sticker mark up in price, let alone the dealer mark up. go ahead and say "but all those mugen parts would cost more by themselfs" well i dont give a crap, look at whats on it and not who made it... not worth it. and its deffenetly not worth anything close to sti/evo price range.
also in a completely biased and stereotypical but true opinion. atleast 400 of the 500 will go to teenagers with rich parents who will take the mugen exhaust off and straight pipe it, add a fake blow off valve sound and most likely kill someone nick hogan style.

I like the concept of having a Mugen version of the Hondas. I think of it as being similar to the AMG of MB. Mugen has and will continue to produce 1st class quality parts for Honda vehicles and the Mugen Civic Si in showrooms is hopefully the start of something great.
X-up, I don't think this car was intended for you, and many people would rather have the Evo, Sti, or even the S2K. But this car does appeal to a certain small demographic, and it makes sense that it is being released in limited numbers.
