I am a transplant from Philly.
You will like the weather with alittle getting use to the hot summers.

Won't the AF pay for housing?

I have a friend from Philly who moved to Jacksonville, FL. He told me last week that it was the hottest he has ever felt. LOL I had to laugh because May is nowhere near how hot it can get in Florida. I'd say July and August is the hottest here. Enjoy Florida!!!!!

Yes the AF pays for housing. I mentioned above that my BAH (military speak for Basic Allowance for housing) is $1133 a month in Pcola...

Ive been to florida in the summer numerous times (family in the palm beach area) So I know what to expect heat wise.

What's up dude. I'm an ENS down here in P-cola with VT-4. You can probably find a few apartment places around here with garages for under BAH. And the auto hobby is on Corry Station (behind the NEX and commissary). I've been there several times for fluid changes and exhaust swap. Lemme know if you need more info about the apartments or whatever!

Ya sorry, ensign, and VT-4 is my squadron. You guys are down the road from us, there's some new classroom buildings and hangers where the AF parks their T-6s.
