Saturday Autocross - you have to wear a helmet and your car needs to be able to pass tech (not a problem for our newer cars). Just make sure your lug nuts are tight - a car lost a wheel during autocross practice at Ft. Myers last Saturday!
Sunday Speedtrial - same as autocross PLUS if you've never done a speedtrial before, you must attend the driving school the day before (Saturday afternoon).
According to the website, the autocross costs $40, the speedtrial costs $45 and the school is $40. There is a $5 discount for members, and membership costs $30 per year. I've found that the actual fees that are charged at the events are often less than this.

Tell me about it. They also had a new meeting and have decided to stick it to the novices at the events, because they are under the assumption none of them work.

I've been reading the emails on the list Josh and I'm not so sure. It was ugly. If I was in town I would have went to the meeting. ER is the not pinnacle of organization as it is, so I don't think this will make things any better. Hopefully it won't make them worse!

I'm new to Equipe Rapide but from what I've seen, it can get disorganized very quickly. Like what happened last time with them black flagging both Keith and I during our first practice session... BS.

I was about ready to walk out and whack Carl with a tire iron I was so pissed... grrrrrrrrrrr....
They need to teach these morons how to run a corner. I'd rather pay more for qualified workers.

Get on I75 south either at Arvida or Griffin and then take the Florida Turnpike south. Go past Miami to Coral Reef Drive (152nd Street). This exit comes up quickly just after the merge with 874. Turn right at the light at the end of the ramp and then take the next right at the light on Coral Reef Drive. Now you're heading west. Go less than a mile and turn left at the light following the signs for Metrozoo. The event is in a parking lot on the left side of the access road.
