Default Martin Sports car Auto-X

I found this link in the Resource thread

http://www.martinsportscarclub.com/

They are hosting a Auto-X this weekend at Lake County Technical Center (Tavares)

I haven't heard much talk about this group. Is it a good event, well set up? good amount of runs?

Thanks

I'm going.
I figured it is worth trying out. I have heard its not as well run as scca but alot of people run both. And since I wont be able to make it to deland next week I need to get some racing out of my system.

I ran there in August and thought it was a well run event. They do classify differently than SCCA. There stock is a true stock class. Nothing may be changed unless it is factory spec. No R compound tires are allowed in stock class. Tires must have a wear rating of 140 or higher for this class. The rules are on there website. Also, at the last event there was a food vendor and restroom facilities were available. EVEN SHOWERS.......if you got to hot.
I am regestered for this Sunday hope to see you there.....Rich

Looks like I can run BP with the STi's on race tires or SM Street Tire. I think SMST will be the class I will run.

you will be running against George Bonefide (yellow EVO) and the Meredith family in their BMW in SMST.

Seems to be VERY competitive.

That guy Speaks in the gold STi on Rcomps last sunday seems to be the points leader in BP. I'm not sure who all runs SMST.

big for their stock class being STOCK! stock struts, strock sway bars, street tires, only thing u can do is take out ur spare tire.

i believe scca stock classes allow so much cuz their sponsors (like tire rack) want there to be.
