Wow, thanks for the kind words guys I'm just glad that everyone was in the right place/right time to help Rob out... It could have been much worse, and it could have been at a worse time when no one else was around to help.
Thats what this community is all about, helping each other out when we all need it the most... thats what i like the most about the people we have on this board. You're never alone
I'm happy that it all worked out Rob

Jeff have you ever explored the possibility of a V mount with the radiator and intercooler on this car?
do I have room?
would both parts have to be smaller?
would the airflow be sufficient for both/either?
Would it help enough to warrant the cost?
The reason i ask is that the new fans kept it beautifully cool right between 90-95 celcius...but when I got behind traffic on the highway it krept up to about 99-100. this was at night so i dont know how bad it would get during the day... In regular street traffic it crept up as well...not to overheat levels but to the point of setting off the alarm on the gauge which is set to about 100c
the creep up in temp (even at speed on the high way) tells my logic lobe in my brain that this car needs TONS of air at all times. Having a car (even two car lengths) in front of me on the highway seems to starve my car enough to affect temps. This is not out of the scope of reality, but as I get more "in- tune" with the car I am realizing different things and questions arise about FI in general.
your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Rob, glad to see the car is some what fixed. I figured it would've been late by the time you guys fixed it. I didn't stay because I didn't want to get in the way.
John, I'm jealous of your workshop/garage.
That Hooters food gave me the worst indigestion in years.
Z man, do you know who the guy in the yellow S was on the way back?

wow ... i didn't even look at this thread until Jon told me about it. I couldn't have made it since i was in St. Pete ... but, i'm still shocked that something like this happened in Ocala!
Looks like a decent time though. If the organizers want to try this again I'd be happy to reach out to a bunch more folks including the classic hot-rod and muscle car groups. There are serious big-iron folks in this town ... Including a new ZR1.
