Either way, probably the hibachi experience though.

Sakura is by far the best in town in my opinion. The original location is off San Jose near Sunbeam. I'm not sure which one you went to, but that beats Shogun, Mikado, and Kan Ki in my opinion by a landslide.

If you just want sushi for lunch, I'd recommend Sushi Rock too.

I love Mikado...by the avenues. I've been there numerous times and the service and food are consistently good.

There is a new Kan Ki on San Jose (south of 295 on the right) that is also VERY good.

I haven't been to Sushi Rock because I don't make it to that side of town very often...but everyone talks very highly about it.

Or...

Take her to Wing House....

Haha. Seriously...all of them are basically the same. Go to the newest/cleanest one you can find.

Lets organize another meet at one of these places. I didn't get to make it to the Sushi Rock one.

Sakura sounds like the place to go, unless someone can suggest a better place in the area, perhaps something near the beach? Something not too loud, Monday shouldn't be bad, but I want to be able to carry on a conversation too.

Why are dates with someone you are actually interested in seriously always so stressful? I just forget how to have fun.

There's a new japanese place (Koja Sushi or something) at the Landing, overlooking the river. Don't know anyone that's been there but it sounds good. It's not a steakhouse. Good date location in my opinion though. Downtown lights...river...gay stuff that girls like.

Never been to Sakura or KanKi...but I'd like to try either since they are near my house.
