I think it's cool. I don't see how it's an invasion of privacy when anyone that wanted to drive down the street could see the exact same thing that the camera sees. My house

They have teams of vehicles everywhere now with six wide angle video cameras and high tech computer equipment/GPS that literally drive through every area and record record record record record. They just had a special on " How do they do it" talking about how GPS/Navigation gets maps to work in our cars. I'm sure one day soon there will be real pictures/video on car nav/gps.

If you like google map/earth, you should bookmark Google Sightseeing.

http://googlesightseeing.com/

I have it marked on my iphone. Update daily. Shows interesting sights, learn about places but they also show funny stuff like guy breaking into a house, the google van pulled over by cops, guy walking out of XXX shop.

Well, they haven't gotten my house or my parents' house yet.

But if you look at the bird's eye view thing. You can see my house pretty clearly, albeit before I moved in. Checked my parents' house, and my dad's old truck is in the driveway and my S2k is at my work. So it must be at least a few months old.

My car is in the middle.. Notice how I parked far away from possible door dings. And yes, I do work underground beneath that hill.
