Didn't see this post until now. I've jumped twice, both static line. Go out the door of the plane, step onto the wheel, then grab the strut on the wing, and hang parallel to the plane. Hang onto the strut at 100 mph, wind blowing your face back from the speed and prop, then letting go. No cooler feeling IMO. Wish I could have joined you. Back when I did it, there were no digital cameras and camcorders were huge. Wish I had some photos or something. All I have is my skydive log, which I don't know where it is.
Being that both jumps were static line, I was solo, no free fall. But I was alone in the air, pulling on the chute to steer and brake. Both times I landed on my feet, didn't fall. Perfect landings. They talked me down by radio.
I'd do it again if I had someone to go with. I had three other guys that were going to go when I did it my first time. They all backed out and I ended up doing it alone.
It is a blast though!

I did flyAway (indoor prop assist freefall /floating) when I was younger
I would do this in a heartbeat.
When we goin? I have to save up
I would even do a tandem if meant a freefall first go

Most places don't recommend skydiving if you're much over 200 lbs and have a 220lb limit . Skydive city had a big scale and made me weigh myself 205.. yay!!!!! I've watched the DVD at least ten times and it's still not getting old yet
