Thumbs down Hurricane Frances

I originally posted this forecast model in the So Fla forum, but since it appears that pretty much all of Florida might be hit by this, I wanted post it here too.

Right now, it's a category 2 storm.

Not again I am just recovering from the last one and I have a big oak in my front yard that almost came down and did structural damage to my front porch One more good storm and I could lose the front of my house! At least my car is safe

This is just getting out of hand now. Two in the last 3 weeks, you've got to be kidding me. It's like it's some kind of phenomenon or something. I think my car might be spending another weekend in a nearby parking garage which is where it was for Charley. At least it's safe there.

Vegas sounds like a good place to be Joe. I believe the World Series has already been held though.

Well, it looks like alot of us are going to get hammered with this Hurricane Last storm I took my car to a local parking Garage and I am glad I did, the storage tents I used were completely destroyed so early Friday I am going to find a choice spot in the parking garage near me and hope for the best - parking garages tend to have no debris in them to get tossed around unlike my backyard

This ones gonna be really nasty! If any East Coasters need a place to crash I've got an extra bed and plenty of floor space, just PM me. Best of luck and stay safe!

Great offer and I'll note the same.

We're currently not in the path just yet but this thing changes every hour it seems like. The Mayor of Jacksonville is meeting with his people right now to see if we're going to have any evacuations locally. If there are going to be any I'll be one of the first since we're situated right on the marsh and only about a 15 minute jet ski ride to the beach...so, I'd offer our place with an extra bed but we might have to bolt as well. If it keeps heading south/west and there's a need for us in the NE and I'm available we'll help anyway we can.

Be safe people and please listen to the officials on this. They say get out, get out.

I have done as much as I can here in Fort LAud. The shutters are up, anything that can be propeled is removed, lots of food, 15 bags of ice, computer is backed up, got a "wet box" for my important docs and laptops, videod my house, put the mercedes in a parking garage, the S is in my garage (reinfoced the garage door with 2x4's) Alll the vehicals are full of gas, 3 bottles of propane, camper is ted down, hmmmmmmmmm oh yeah, got 2 bottles of rum to polish off b4 the storm!

Wish us luck however, after going through Andrew, if this storm hits us straight on, it's all gone.

Now exuse me while I call Jersey Girl and see if she wants to get drunk with us!
