Default Hondata Gasket Install Day

OK...parts are in. I have enough fuel rail washers for 4 cars.

And for me...my gasket, thermostat and fan switch have all arrived (plus I bought the nifty 12mm universal socket from Sears for future gasket days).

What time are we meeting? Chiung...what time can you start? WillieGee, if you are hosting at your house, what time you want us to show up?

Is everyone OK with May 20 (next Saturday)?

Let's do this...it's getting hot and I want my car to be as cool as WillieGee's (I know...any car Willie sits in is automatically cooler, but I can dream)

I'm in for it, but I need to be in Kissimmee by 6pm....do you think this is doable? If not, I might come and watch to see how its done...

The last time I was at Willie Gee's, Chiung did nvrquit's and they started around 9:00 and didn't finish until 8:00 or 9:00. I would be willing to bet it may take longer if he is helping others to learn the process. Hope this helps.

May 20th. Sounds great. Let's start early.

Wildcard, if you are fast it's possible but not probable. Some cars are harder than others, that's just the way it is.

I've been known to host some speedy wrenchathon's in my days of 4x4in' I once did a 3" SUSPENSION lift on a Tacoma in 45 minutes
...granted I'd done about a half dozen before it, but still

...I was looking over the install process again, and under my own hood, and I was wondering why exactly the fuel system even needs to be futzed with...It looks the the entire manifold can come off in one assembly, all parts still attached. Granted some hoses and stuff need to be taken off or at the very least bent out of the way, but from what it looked like, the fuel rail can actually stay....or am I missing something?

We've always taken the fuel assembly off, and that's not the hard part at all.

Come early, I think we can do it fairly easy. I'll have a cooler with a few cold beers just in case we do.

Let's be ready to wrench at 8:00 AM. cool?

I'll be there! Aside from the gasket and tools, what else should I bring?
