so, it just started doing this about 2 days ago, and it doesnt do it every time either, but sometimes when i have the car in first gear, the clutch all the way in, and im rolling going like 5 mph or under, theres a weird gear binding type noise coming from the tranny, do you think this would be my clutch/pressure plate going bad or something messed up insde the tranny??thanks alot for the help guys

u sure it's not the rear differential?

positive, i've blown a diff in this car before and i can tell its coming from farther up in the tranny. could it be a pilot or throw out bearing too??

yeah it could be clutch related since it makes the noise with the clutch peddle pushed in. how many miles on the clutch/pressure plate?

do you feel any feedback through your clutch peddle? is the clutch peddle acting normal? ie:stiffer than normal, grabbing later, sticky.

have you checked your clutch fluid? have you changed it lately or is it overdue for a flush and fill?

sounds like the throw out bearing to me. it sux that a lot of times its the first thing to go on the clutch. is it just too faint to be able to hear it above 5mph cuz of wind noise and such?

in the future to keep it from going bad u shouldn't leave the clutch in while moving or even stoped at a light, instead shift to neutral and release the clutch, this is the best way to ensure the throw out bearing last as long as the disk.

also anytime u have the trans out or do anything to the clutch its best to replace the entire set no matter how many miles are on them, it doesn't cost very much, especialy as much as having to do it again.

im pretty sure the clutch is on its way, it seems to engage pretty high when i let it out
