good place to paint s2000 parts in orlando area
I need to paint a mu style spoiler and eyelids for a silverstone metallic s2000, of corse i want them to match the paint as good as possible, can anyone recomend a local paint shop that would do good work, it can be in the tampa area or orlando, i dont want to travel to jacksonville but i will go to any place in central fl, thanks

Not sure of the best place but make sure they do a color match to like your gas door or something you can bring with you and leave with them.
Silverstone is a two stage paint with at least two different color builds that I am aware of and it will be immpossible to match if the parts are painted off the car. They have to match it to an example of your paint as it is right now. Time and sunlight fade all paints and your version of silverstone, on your car, is different from the silverstone they are going to mix up in the shop. Take your gas cap off and bring it with you. If the shop is a good one, they will match the paint they mix to the door so it iwll match as much as possible.
Do a search on this site for paint codes becasue I also believe I have read here that the last 3 or so numbers/letters in you VIN are modifiers to the paint code on your door jambs. Dont quote me on this but I have seen that statement more than once so it might be a valid thing.
Good luck

I took my stuff to get painted @ Excel Paint & Body in Maitland Ave. #407-830-1007, ask for Joe the owner. They matched my item perfectly. Good luck.

<sigh> Have we stickied this stuff yet (not the whole thread, just the details)? I know I'll forget all of this soon (next 5 minutes?) and search will provide me with zero answers... good info, don't want to lose it. We REALLY need a list of people/places to go to for various problems, both good and bad (and reasons why!). Gotta include the bad so we know to stay away...
