I think Jillian and I will come up the night before and grab a hotel room, the Hilton wants $229 a night, and every other hotel I've ever stayed in in G-ville is a crap-hole, anyone have any recommendations?

I am staying in Astor on a hatteras yacht. Closer to Gville than my house and a free chance to sleep on a yacht.

just about all the new Hotels on Archer road are good choices: Extended Stay American, Holiday Inn Express, and Hampton Inn are a couple of them. Archer road is also a great place for shopping and dining. Pretty much everything you could want. About 30 minutes from the track.

But, if you want something a little nicer ... i can vouch for the Sweetwater Branch Inn (B&B). http://www.sweetwaterinn.com/default/default.asp This is where i got married.

Mae's cottage is amazing and beautiful.

Thanks Scott, Perhaps I'll give them a call. All the chain hotels are booked up this coming weekend, I wonder what's going on....

There really isn't a B&B near (within 20 miles) the BCC AutoX venue (per your query from the other thread), but you are welcome to crash here.

I just checked Hotels.com ... they're showing a room available for that weekend at the Country Inn & Suites on Archer Road
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ocala,+FL,+U...oi=map&ct=image

There's also a Fairfield Inn at the next exit (Oaks Mall exit) available.

I'll be honest with ya ... the B&B i suggested is nice ... but, only a few blocks west of it tends to be a little questionable in domestic morale. The owners have done an incredible job in securing their locations and really do well in keeping you feeling extremely comfortable and worry free.

You could get a room here in Ocala and i would be happy to show you guys around this little area. And you're only about an hour away from the G'ville racetrack. I promise to personally escort you there!
