Default Gainesville Road Race Club

We put on road course events approximately every six weeks at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Florida. We will be updating our event dates and giving status updates via FB so it is easier for participants to follow. Our page has the general event layout, some pictures of events, and we are working on a record times listing. It also has links for registering for events and contact information for event coordinators.

Once I get the KW clubsports installed I'm going to use one of these dates to get the car set-up.

It's definitely a great event, you'll get more laps in then probably anywhere else. ViperASR, It'd be awesome it if you'd go out there and lay down a base time to see how much the coils effect laptimes.

I kinda wish they (the track owners) would add a bit more track. I've always thought there could be more curves/turns at that place (without having to narrow the straights with cones.) Not complaining ... just dreaming

Have you run the course counter-clockwise? It is way more fun that direction. We may start using that direction as the normal direction.

Yep. I agree counter clockwise is more fun (as it creates a decreasing radius just before the 'bus-stop' I think it would be interesting to see what an extension on the northeast corner would be like. I'm imagining a mini-nurburg

I'm going to work on getting out there before they are installed, but I'm sure driver error would make the biggest difference between first and second events.
Plus the local auto-x schedule kinda dictates my schedule.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 10:53 PM.
