Default Front Tires

Hi,

I looked at the "tire" forum and wanted to get some feedback from the locals instead. I need to buy new "front" tires for my 2005 S2000.

I am planning on lowering the car and replacing the worn out tires at the same time. I don't race the car or go on the track or anything.

Looking for a descent tire that can handle all the rain and shitty weather that South Florida gives us. I also want to avoid spending

a ridiculous amount on tires. Never had my tires replaced so any feedback on tires would be great (under $200 would be nice).

thanks

omer

I have Yokohama S Drives, really great tire for all weather(it is a summer tire) and also they are great at handling the corners if you do any spirited driving. Tirerack.com has them for $125. It is a little bit more than what you are looking for. But a word of advise to you... Don't go cheap on tires

Bfg gforce sports are pretty good tires at an affordable price. But like frei said don't cheap out on tires. There are some good tires at affordable prices. S drives, neo gens, gforce sports, dz101. Good luck with your search.

What kind of tires are on the rear and what size tire are you looking to run? Are you on stock ap1 or ap2 wheels or an aftermarket set

I've been running Hankook v12's on the front for 6-7 month... good performance for the price. very good in the rain. I'll be adding some to the rear soon...
PS. they required zero weight on one and 1/4 ounce on the other!

I'm running Continental Extreme Contact DW's. I absolutely love them! Been the best tire in the rain for me so far. Check out Tire Rack, nothing but great reviews and definitely have great tread life.

I agree with dc2-2-ap1, I'm running DW's on all fours though.

My car has Goodyear F1 All Season tires. The back ones are still good but want to replace the front ones that are worn out. Looked at the reviews
for the tires and it seems like a lot of customers are not happy with them so going to get something else.

I want to spend less than $200 Per Tire .... around $150 would be ideal. So that should get me a nice couple tires
for south florida weather.

I am on regular AP2 rims

THIS!!

Jim@Tirerack.com has always been a great resource for both opinions and price/service.

I'm still on my Hankook RS2's and loving them. Getting them for under $80 each was even better
