Chiung and I ran the route on Sunday, it is roughly 124 miles to the Winery from the McDonalds. It took us just under three hours with stops, both planned and unplanned. Chiung knows these roads like the back of his hand; he will be leading.
If we have spirited drivers among us, i encourage you to stay with the front pack.
There are a number of turns and gas stations along the way. We will be making planned stops for us to regroup and stretch our legs, and to adjust the lineup.
Because of the length of the route and the number of cars participating, your patience will greatly enhance the entire experience. We will not be posting maps or turn by turns of this route. We do not need any uninivited and unwanted guests. i.e. the ticket giving kind. Most of these roads are country two laners so once rolling we will not be passing unless waved in by another s2k driver. There are sections in residential areas and regular busy roads. Save your adrenaline for the empty roads. You'll know them, trust me.
It goes without saying: it's up to you to be safe and know your limits. Check your tire pressure. (You should be running around 32 at each corner.) Stay in your lane.
Enjoy the Day. Looking forward to it, this should be a blast.
