East Coast / Orlando / N FL Mega Meet Jan 14th
We're planning a route and a rendezvous with the West Florida Crew on Saturday January 14th at the Lakeridge Winery. Bring a 2 way radio and a good attitude.
Note: There will be spirited driving.

will be meeting at McDonalds just west of 95 on International Speedway in Daytona @ 9:00AM.

O-Towners will meet at the Deland Citgo. Take I-4 east then the exit for New Smyrna Beach, take 44 west towards Deland. Go around a lake, and there's a Citgo on the intersection of Kepler and 44. It's impossible to miss. I'll meet you guys there @ 9:15AM. The drive starts not so far from there.

Solo Drivers
If you choose to drive to/or from the meet solo, that's totally up to you. Below are our destinations, please just be at either at the appointed time. If you are going to eat, please put in your request for food on our menu thread.

Destinations
The first of two destinations will be the Lakeridge Winery @ about 12:00 noontime. map link: Winery Map This is an award winning winery in the heart of Central Florida?! Wine tastings, tours etc.
Then for lunch we will be going to Okeefes at about 1:00/1:30 at your liesure. map link: Okeefe's map Okeefes is a traditional Irish pub with all the fixins and rests directly on a park on lake Dora in the old Florida town of Taveres.
It's very simple to get to Okeefes from the Lakeridge Winery. There are a few twisties between the two, but nothing too serious. Just take 25 south until you reach SR 561. Take that north (left) through Astatula, merge with 19 and keep going until you reach Main st. in Taveres. Hang a right and go past the courthouse, look carefully for Sinclair (your fourth street), hang a right and the restaurant will be directly on your left. There is ample parking in the park on the lake that sits directly in front of the restaurant. Once in Tavares it is easy to rubberneck, b/c it is a pretty little town on huge lake Dora.
There is an alternate route that takes you to the highest point in Peninsular FL, about 312 feet, and you can see the Orlando skyline on a clear day. It's pretty amazing really. As soon as you cross under Florida Turnpike leaving the Winery take CR 561A to the right and about 1/2 mile up the road is SUGARLOAF MTN RD on the Left. Turn left and keep following that road on top of which you will find vistas galore. Follow the road left, right, left, and you will return to SR 561. Take that north (right) to Taveres.
