Article said they cited the driver. From what I read I don't know why the would. Was she using the crosswalk? Did she just dart out into the road?

Glad she's ok tho

i have a feeling that there was another car parked along the side of the road. the S sits so low that if she did dart from the front of another car, the driver wudnt have seen her. completely the pedestrians fault im sure.

Citing the driver of a motorvehicle is almost default when a pedestrian is involved. The mentality is 'pedestrians always have the right-of-way'. I don't always agree with it.

I've always wondered how much money it would cost to put crosswalks under or over roadways. There are a few of these being used in busy college areas and really removes the majority of risk.

I'm also willing to bet the girl will do her best to not miss the bus anymore either

I hope she's ok and that the driver won't have too much additional stress due to excessive press.

yup....so they can write the report. thanks for the prevention. maybe you could drive thru my neighborhood instead of protecting us from Civics with loud exhausts or an S2K going too fast in a 6 lane divided hwy that is 45 mph posted.

DOH ....no money in writing up that report.
