A friend sent me a link to this website a few months ago. I played around with it for a while and figured I'd share with you guys. You register on the site and are given $.10 to place a bet on a sporting event. The site is run off ad revenue. If you win your bets your money accumulates. If you lose, the site lets you start over with $.10. If you're satisfied with your progress you have an option to cash out and they send you a check.

I was a bit weary that it was some kind of scam at first but it doesn't cost anything and you're never asked or even have any option to pay money. I've worked my way up to a couple bucks a few times before losing it. Supposedly people have gotten $200+ payouts, but I'm sure that's rare. I certainly wouldn't expect to make a living off of it. interesting, seems a little weird that the note at the end says you have to compete to get your cashout.....is it one last way to not give you the money if you rack a bunch up?

 

Ahh, I see what you mean. Apparently a certain amount of money is set aside as payouts for each given week so they aren't gauranteed when you request them. I can't tell you if that's really a big issue, as I've never accumulated enough money that I could pull it out anyway.

I just look at it as something fun to play around with, I don't really have any expectations of getting money out of it. If it happens that's awesome, if not I'm still enjoying the site.
