competition twin plate clutch question ?
I installed my brand new competition twin plate clutch on my S, when I was finally done installing it i was ready to turn on the car, i put the car in neutral and press the clutch pedal, i push the start button and a terrible clacking noise is coming from the clutch when the engine starts turning over. how else can i explain the loud noise ??? if you take a metal jar and put nuts and bolts inside of the metal jar and shake it really fast, that's how the claking sound is..this kit comes with hydrolic bearing so i don't need the fork anymore, so the hole on the transmission is open so i can see whats going on inside of the transmission. i tell my buddy to press the clutch pedal in and i can see that the bearing release the pressure from the pressure plate releasing the pressure from the disc and spacer in between the disks and when i put my finger to feel the disk they are very lose and that's whats causing the noise, when he releases the clutch pedal the bearing pushes on the pressure plate putting pressure and on the disk and noise goes away...is this normal, is this clutch really this loud when i push in the clutch pedal or did i do something wrong ??? sounds like the car is gonna break or fall apart!! any suggestions will be very helpful thanks
