BCS isn't all bad....really.

A playoff would make the college football season more like college basketball. What I mean is that every game doesn't really matter as much. As it stands, we essentially get a 4-month playoff.

I know you don't get a "real" national champion, but you must at least admit that without the BCS the regular season games would mean next to nothing.

I completely disagree. The nature of football isn't going to let you do a huge 64 team playoff, it would have to be much smaller and more selective. Look at the NFL; they've got 32 teams, a 16 game regular season, a 10 team playoff and every game is imporatant, one game can make or break a playoffs run.

Now say College Football puts in a 8 team playoff with a 11 game regular season and 120 teams fighting for that spot. Every game is going to be HUGE; fewer spots, less games, and 4 times as many teams. Just look at the rankings as they are now, most 1 loss major conference teams will get in but 2 losses pretty much puts you out of the contest and it puts major pressure on 2nd tier conference schools to schedule some decent games or they will be left out.
