hahah so heres another reason why florida will not play miami... lol makes since doesnt it..
They used to play every year, but the Gators dropped Miami in 1988 because they wanted to play a "more national schedule." They promptly replaced the Hurricanes with Montana State. Miami fans accused the Gators of pulling out because the Hurricanes were dominating them - on field and on the national scene.
i would still like to thank the SEC refs for changing the pace of the game with two horribly thrown flags.. but hey its all good we'll get their ass when they have the balls to play us again... GO CANES!!! oh and from all the games i have watched miami's D held good ol TEBLOW better than any other team last year

I thought the Canes looked good. I was impressed by their coaching. There were a couple key playcalls that really impressed me. Going for it on 4th and 2 in the 2nd quarter from the UF 35 yard line. I can't stand to see a team punt from the 35, watch it go through the endzone and they pick up a lame 15 yards from the punt when they had a 80% of getting the first if they'd just go for it. Also, calling a pass on 1st and 10 when backed up inside the 1. It's so frustrating to see a team run 3 QB sneaks out to the 3 yard line, then punt. Kudos to them for actually coming out to play the game instead of rolling over to play dead like most coaches seem to be doing.

The Canes are talking smack after scoring only 3 points the entire game? Nice.
Seriously though, Miami's D was impressive and your QB situation just needs time for them to learn the system. They're a MUCH improved team over last year and will do well in the less-than-impressive ACC this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see them play in the conference championship game.
UF has a bye this week, so all eyes are on USC/OSU. I've seen USC at -10.5, which seems a little low considering Wells is injured and the game is in LA.
