Friend of mine picked up a new black 350 and is looking to get clear bra done. Anyone have any good experience and approximate price? I know Shay had it done, but I don't remember where

Clear Impressions on Beach Blvd near Kernan. The owners name is Sean. I don't have the number handy but they're listed and tell them I sent you. Sean should recognize my name since I was just in there about 2 weeks ago getting the RL tinted but he definitely knows the S since they did the clear bra and tint, plus my wife's Camry, plus Bryan's clear bra, plus about a dozen other S's, 350s, RX-8s, etc. I've sent over there. I think everyone has a had a good experience to my knowledge.

Approx. price I'm honestly don't remember exactly but it wasn't cheap. I want to say 4-something but I did everything including the side mirrors. You'll need to call ahead so they can order the kit.

I don't know of anyone in town that does them but I've been thinking about getting one to.

Since we're talking about it...

How does the clear bra look on the Berlina? I've seen one on silver and you can see the lines pretty easily. Do they blend in better on black? Do you have a pic you could post or email me?

Here's the best I could find. It was a shot from the little meet we did last May and ended up back at our house. We're stopped at a gas station in the Amelia Island area waiting for Willie Gee to catch up. Pesky cops!

Personally I think the bra is less noticeable on black than other colors I have seen but I'm biased. Lbsypher had his first and he's silver. Looks good on his IMO and works wonders. I had my front repainted in '04 and once the paint cured (a few weeks) I had the bra put on. Reason? Despite all of my detail work the S was at that time a daily driver. 50 million chips in the paint later, making it look like it had dandruff, it was painted and the bra put on.

That's the point I'm at right now. The front spoiler, bottom of front bumper and side strakes have hundreds and hundreds, maybe thousands, of tiny chips. None of these were there until I drove the car from Jax to TN for the holidays.

I'm looking at getting my brother to repaint it but I don't want it to happen all over again with the new paint. So I think the clear bra is the way to go but man...it's more expensive than I thought it would be.

It isn't cheap that's for sure but it has like a 5-year warranty so you should be good to go. If you're going to be at the Jax meet next Saturday I expect to be there so you can check it out.
