buying S in FL, need advice
its a
2001
black
11,000 miles
interior is perfect
exterior is a little dirty, but thats it
no options
from a dodge dealership.
They were asking $21,500, which I kinda laughed at.
We are down to $19,500 now and it seems to be as far as they will go.
Is this price comparable to what people in florida paid?
Should I go for it?
Any advice before I buy?
Thanks,
James
(Also looking at a '00 with 19,000 miles for same price, but from a private seller with all the options)

19,500 is right around/below book value for the 01'. If it were me...I would get an 02' and pay a little extra for the glass window in the soft-top. Anyways, if you like the 01' get it, itsa good deal...make sure to do a car-fax and take it somewhere to have it checked out $60-90 if you take it to a honda dealership.

getting an 01 doesnt bother me too much, although the glass would be nice, just not worth a few more thousand to this college student. Its already more that I wanted to spend, but I think the S is worth it.
My dad is going to look at it tomorrow, I will talk to him about taking it to the honda dealership before buying it. Do I need to tell them, or just say I am taking the car for a drive with my dad?
Any other advice?
Did the carfax, checks out ok:

Mine was a lease return... had low miles. Yours being an '01 with only 11,000 miles makes it look like it was a weekend car for someone. In my personal opinion I believe that's the best kind. For many reasons. I'd say go for it. That price is good. I bought mine with 20k miles for $21,500 about six months ago.
edit - Just beware that even though the mileage is low... the warrantee has expired. Unless it has an extended one. Check on that and before you leave the dealership see if they can throw in an extended warrantee with the deal.
