brake pads

Thanks Bill.
I do love the way these things stop, and I'm glad there seems to be some auditory hope at the end of the screeching subway tunnel. I got the CRC in the tube/paste, hopefully it'll quiet like the spray.
They are dusty but least the dust seems to come off fairly easily, and I'm willing to give up some rotor life to have this kind of stopping power available at the tips of my pumas.
Mike
I like the balance of the new compound GT Sport in the front and the old compound in the rear, but I have no idea where anybody could get a set of the old compounds for the rear-- except from me maybe - for a price MWAH HA HA!! (Thanks again for those!) I'm also running a 225/45/17, 255/40/17 RE050A PP tire setup.
I think running the stock tire sizes or something similar to stock (i.e. very narrow up front/big stagger) you'd easily overbias the front braking with these pads if you didn't go to something grippier out back or were VERY smooth at engine braking- heel/towing
Just my .02

I shouldn'tve sold you those! I am going to try EBC greenstuff at the rear and see how that works. But right now there is too much bias.

Willie Gee, the only time I ever had an issue with the Greenstuff was tryin to keep up with you down Warwoman and since I was at the rear I was driving with a little more spirit than others and started to glaze the front left rotor.....but it just hummed a little sqeak now and than, all gone now....... I do have drilled and slotted rotors and these pads are rotor friendly, like I said they have lasted 2 dragon trips... Let us no how you like them...

Hawk pads are good. I don't know much about the new Cobalt friction pads. I did a lot of cryoing for Andy the president at cobalt friction technologies and the make good race pads. I wouldn't use them on an everyday driver because of the noise.
Everything is better on Cryo -treated rotors. I cryo pads also. They last up to 65% longer and less dust.
Shameless plug!
