Default Back from Hawaii

Aloha

Sorry this is so late but since our return lots has happened. Let me explain.

During the second week of our trip, I was alerted by email that there was a change in management at my company. A new board of directors, president and CEO were named. On hearing this I actually contacted the new CEO and asked him " If you are going to let me go, do it now and my wife and I will stay in Hawaii for another couple of weeks" I was told to enjoy my vacation and to come back as I was needed to rebuild the company. To make a long story short, two days after I got back, I got the ax. I was so mad!!!! (Insert strong expletive here)

The past couple of weeks have been busy taking care of things and researching possibilities. I am basically going to take the rest of the summer off and spend it with Jan until she goes back to school in August then crank up the job search. We are having fun so far and next week we are heading up to the North Carolina mountains to unplug and spend a couple of weeks camping. It will be fun (No "on the road "for this trip.....sorry)

OK, here is the link to the final slide show from the trip. Dim the lights, put on some Hawaiian music and pour yourself a Mai Tai..............then click on the link below

On the road to Hawaii with Chip and Jan Slide Show

Mahalo to all of our friends

Way more!!!!!

It was a great time. Tip, do not ever buy a jeep that has seen service in Hawaii. Alamo does not need to know where it's jeep went over the week. I will attest to the "trail rated" badge on the side

I actually contacted the group over there but the active people are all on Oahu. We saw a couple of S's but not many. Jeeps and 4x4s are the norm.
