ok to put it to rest, as i have driven both and raced them. AP1 can be faster can be slower depends on which one. I personally have an 00 which is slower than any ap2 due to the ecu being tuned richer than all others from factory. If you have an 02 ap1 then the ap1 is a SLIGHT bit faster. However i must say the AP2's as everyone says feels mushy, or toned down. AP1 all the way for the race car feel, preferrably 02 or 03.

Id say definitly a drivers race . mine is stock AP1 with AEM intake only . I ran an AP2 with the same intake and to 120MPH my sideview mirror was at the front bumper of his car . both where yellow so color had no influence , LOL

As a member who has had an AP1 and now owns an AP2 I have to say I do prefer the AP2. When I had the AP1 I was hands down an AP1 enthusiasts. But when it came time to purchase a new S2000, I test drove many of both. What I found was the AP1 is more
other then mine.. i vote for AP1 for the 1/4
